Privacy Policy
Last reviewed: June 2026
The short version: we use privacy-first analytics that don't track you across the web or use cookies, we don't sell or share your data, and we only ever email you if you ask us to.
Who we are
What's That Peptide (whatsthatpeptide.co.uk) is an independent educational reference operated from the UK. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights below, contact us at [email protected]. We are the data controller for the limited data described here.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, hosted by us. It does not set cookies and does not collect personal data. It records anonymised, aggregated information such as which pages are viewed, approximate country, the site you arrived from, device type, and the terms typed into our on-site search. None of this identifies you, builds a profile, or follows you to other websites, and we run no advertising trackers. Because no personal data or cookies are involved, there is no cookie banner.
Email, if you choose it
If you sign up to our newsletter or choose to "follow" a peptide, we store your email address and, where relevant, the peptide(s) you asked to follow. We use this only to send the updates you requested. We send email through Amazon SES, which processes your address solely to deliver our messages. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, after which we remove you from the list.
Lawful basis
Anonymous analytics rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site. Any email we send relies on your consent, given when you sign up, which you can withdraw at any time.
We don't sell your data
We never sell, rent or trade your information, and we take no money from peptide vendors or affiliates. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the site (such as our email provider), under appropriate terms.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of any personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email the address above and we'll sort it. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "last reviewed" date above shows when it last changed.
